Signs of Spring

A grape hyacinth peaking out from the ground...

A magnolia blossom fully bloomed...

And tulips waking up bright with color...

I love the cold days of winter. The way freshly fallen snow illuminates even the darkest evening. I enjoy every season and every season seems to come when needed. Spring brings with it true renewal and reawakening. Spring gives you a breath of fresh air and lightens your heart a bit. Most important Spring brings strawberries. Sweet, little berries of pure enjoyment. Yum!

I hope everyone is enjoying a breath of fresh air!

Well, Ain't We A Pair, Raggedy Man.

achooooo!

ack!

achooooooooooooooo!

I've been sick. Sicker than I've been in a long while. I mean, I get the occasional sniffle now and then, but it's usually gone in a few days. This has been a battle for supremacy.

My body's Valiant Resistance Fighters
versus
The Evil, Booger-Making Meanies.

Luckily, after many hacking coughs and vitamin C reinforcements, the Booger-Making Meanies were overrun and destroyed. Hooray for the Valiant Resistance!!! Of course, I am exhausted from the fight. Just walking down the street takes it out of me. Phew.

And poor Jonathan. I became ill the day before he had all his wisdom teeth pulled. :o(

His cheeks are still puffy and he's in pain. After the 3rd day he found eating ice cream to be distasteful. I know! I know! That seems sacrilegious, but horror of horrors...it's TRUE! You can get sick of ice cream!

So, we watched movies. Lots of them. Including Thunderdome. Hence, the post title. That kinda became our mantra; we were one pathetic pair for a few days.

Today, I ventured out into the world. Mainly to volunteer at the 577 Foundation and the BSC. At the 577, I usually help out in the geodesic dome greenhouse or do something garden-related on the grounds. I had been meaning to take my camera over there and I finally did! Here are pictures of a few of the beautiful flowers in the dome. Enjoy!
